Equipped By God

Equipped By God

Heb 13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,
Heb 13:21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will,
working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to
whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. ESV

By the blood of the eternal covenant, our Heavenly Father (the God of peace)
has equipped us with everything that we need in order to serve and please him.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead, is working in us to shape us
into His image, and to make us useful vessels for the Potter to use. We see our
God as 'The God Of Peace', because he has provided the means for peace
between God and man, and between people and each other.

The God of Peace, who has reconciled us to himself, by the New Covenant,
has provided a new and living way for us to enjoy the benefits of his kingdom,
and inherit his righteousness. When Jesus our Messiah was born, the Angelic
messengers announcedGlory to God in the highest, and on earth
peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:14 KJV God, by sending His son to
live and die for us, proved how committed he is to establishing an eternal rela-
relationship with us. God's good will toward us is expressed through the grace that
he has extended toward us, in forgiving our sins and giving us a new heart,
through the sacrifice at Calvary. The blood of Jesus has made it possible for us
to be the temples of the Holy Spirit, so that God himself can live in and through
us. The Love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit
(Romans 5:5), thus equipping us to be a blessing to our brothers and
sisters in Christ, and to reach out in kindness to those who don't know Him.
Condemnation and feelings of failure, will cripple the Christian and render him
or her ineffective as a witness to god's goodness; that's why it is essential that
the Christian truly believes in the effectiveness of the finished work of Christ on
his behalf. Only by faith in the cleansing blood of Jesus, will we be free of guilt and the consciousness of sin. Therefore it is the grace of God, through the Blood of Jesus that equips us for service, and not our self-righteous and self-willed programs and plans. The blood of Jesus cleanses us thoroughly, and makes us fit vessels for the Holy Spirit.

Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us
accepted in the beloved.
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness
of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jeru-
salem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost
part of the earth.

Now with the knowledge that we have been cleansed of all sin, and accepted in the Beloved,
we are free to go about our Father's business. Lead by the Holy Spirit, we have the ability
and the understanding to face all difficulties, and to live as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven
and children of The Living God. We are invited to enter into his rest, and participate in the
advancement of the Gospel of his grace! Our God has thoroughly furnished us for the good
work set before us!
